HYGIENE DRIVE

         

 

We will be participating in the Mission del Sol Hygiene Drive again this year.  We have participated in the hygiene drive for the last couple of years as a way to thank Mission del Sol for their continued support of our mission.  If it weren't for their generosity we would not have a place to hold our monthly bee.

Donated items will be distributed in a joint effort between the Kyrene Foundation and the Kyrene School District to help families with basic needs such as food and hygiene supplies.  When a qualifying family picks up a food box it includes a hygiene kit if kits are available.

If you wish to participate in the drive we will be collecting items listed below during the February and March bees.  Participation is completely voluntary.  Listed below are the items needed.

1. Shampoo
2. Conditioner
3. Toothbrushes
4. Toothpaste
5. Bar Soap
6. Deodorant

 

BEE REPORT      

 

 

 

During the January bee...    

~ There were 39 quilts completed.
~ The raffle items raised a total of $48.

What you'll find the February bee...

~ The kit-kit tub is filled to the brim with new kit-kits ready to spend some quality time will those that like to cut fabric into pieces.
~ The kit basket is chocked full of kits for all kinds and sizes of  tops.
~ As always there are quilt tops ready for quilting/tying.
~ We will have a free table this month.
~ There are currently 141 tops in the Piece by Peace closet waiting to be quilted/or tied.

 

DUKE'S CORNER

     

Hi Everyone, Duke here:
Isn't the sunshine great?!  Seems like we haven't been getting as much of it we usually do but there's been a few days that mom's been busy sewing out in the back yard and that means more fun for us dawgs!  She's worked on pet beds for the rescue and quilts for PxP.  She will probably be making a delivery to the senior (dogs & cats) retirement home later this month.  

Mom won't be able to come to the bee this month so please continue to save your pet beds and scraps for her.

Peace By Piece Quilters

UPCOMING BEE

The February Peace by Piece Quilters will be held
Thursday, the 9th.  As always the fun starts at 10:00.

There WILL be a FREE table at the bee this month so bring all your quilting and sewing related items that would like a new home.
  
We will NOT be accepting pet beds or pet bed scraps this month.
