* Last month we received a $360 donation! That is going to really help with future batting purchases. * The staff members at RISE sent us a Thank You card that read, "Thank you for your continued donation of handmade blankets for the foster children in our homes! They are beautiful and so appreciated!" it included many signatures. RISE provides many services for children in need including foster and kinship care, child developmental homes and adoption. If you would like to learn more about this orgaization visit their website at www.riseservicesinc.org. * We will not have a bee in July. If you would like homework to keep your hands busy during the break please click HERE to send me an email letting me know what you'd like me to bring for your homework. |

At the May bee we
completed 52 quilts. The question "How many tops do we have waiting to be quilted?" often gets asked during our show n' tell. So I'll try to retrain my brain to include that info in the newsletter every month. This month the answer to that question is 88. This may be a good excerise to get myself in the habit of doing cuz if I make myself aware of how many tops we have it will cause me to bring more to the bee for you all to work on finishing up. For this months bee we have 30 kits ready to be sewn into tops. The cutting station has 21 kit-kits waiting to be cut into kits. There is a couple of quilts ready to be bound and labeled. And if everything in my little world goes as planned there will be a BIG pile of stuff layered for quilting a tying. You will want to visit the raffle
table this month for sure cuz this is your last opportunity to get a few more chances to win the
AWESOME OttLight Craft Plus Floor Lamp. The retail cost of this OttLite is
$209.99 and it could be going home with you THIS MONTH for just a few $$$
worth of raffle tickets! You read that right, the winning ticket
will be drawn this month!

DUKE'S
CORNER Hello everyone, Duke here: Me and my buddies have been encouraging mom to keep a steady pace making the shelter beds. She's been sewin' and stuffin' and us dawgs have been testin' 'em. We've made good progress and should have enough to drop off at the shelter in the next week or so. She is takin' a break this week so she can come hang out with you quilty ladies. We've managed to make enough beds that she now has a little space for all your scraps so bring 'em to your quilting get together. She'll need those scraps to keep herself and us busy until your next quilty day. Until next month, Puppy hugs & kisses.
