DID YA GET THE MESSAGE ???

Hopefully everyone received the "Peace By Piece Quilters News Flash!!!!" and the "Peace By Piece Quilters Bee Update" messages that were sent out to volunteers e-mail boxes earlier this month. Due to the Maricopa County Annual Shop Hop our last scheduled bee at the Cutting Edge Quiltworks was cancelled. But the most dedicated Peace By Piece Quilters volunteers opted to still spend the day working on the Peace By Piece Quilters mission. So we had a kit making bee in my home. It was a GREAT day! We made 17 Child size kits and 4 Preemie kits. Jo brought an absolutely delicious salad with a couple of homemade dressings. Mmmmmm. And if you've ever been to my house for a meal then you know that always includes dessert. YES...even for lunch! And of course there was chocolate.

REMEMBER THIS ???

Remember this special project I shared with you last month?  The one where Denise and I made these quilts during an on-line Mystery Quilt challenge. We used fabrics from the Peace By Piece Quilters closet and followed the mystery steps to complete these quilts. We had so much FUN that we thought the Peace By Piece Quilters may enjoy doing a Mystery project like this.

We took a vote during the last 2 bees to see how many volunteers would like to participate in a charity Mystery Quilt project and many of you thought it would be FUN. Denise has found an easy 3 step mystery and the first step was handed out to those attending the kit making bee. They picked out their fabric from the Peace By Piece Quilters stash closet and were anxious to get started. I'll have more copies of the 1st step to hand out at upcoming bees so everyone can get in on the FUN.

WANNA GET A DISCOUNT ???

The Cutting Edge has got new discount bags on sale for $6. This once a year purchase of $6 saves you 10% on purchases. You must show your bag at the time of the purchase to qualify for the discount. They also run specials throughout the year for “bag holders” only. The bags will be on sale until the last one is gone.  Don’t wait as they go quickly and once they are gone they won’t have any more until next September!!!

THE CUTTING EDGE QUILTWORKS

The August bee at the Cutting Edge was very, very productive. We left behind a HUGE pile of quilts. There was a total of 54 quilts in the pile! There were 25 Child size quilts and 29 Preemies. And if that wasn't enough there was also 4 BIBS in the pile. Yep... you read that right. There was even BIBS in the pile! The Peace By Piece Quilters are always doing awesome things.

QUOTES & TIDBITS...

Idealism increases in direct proportion to one's distance from the problem.

~John Galsworthy~

'Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.

If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.'

So - if you give her crap, you will receive a bucket full of shit.

~Maxine~

The Autumnal Equinox was September 22. The hottest temperature in the Valley of the Sun this year was 115 and our monsoon season brought 5.70 inches of rain.
